Focus lock
Use focus lock when you want to position your subject outside the autofocus frame
located in the center of the viewfinder.
*Position your subject in the autofocus frame
and press the shutter release button halfway.
—When correct focus has been achieved, the
autofocus indicator will light-up in the viewfinder.
*While keeping the shutter release button
pressed halfway, change the position of your
subject in the viewfinder to achieve the
desired composition.
*Press the shutter release button fully to take
the picture.
NOTE: When focus is locked, exposure settings are
also locked (AE lock).
