GPS/Sensor
When [GPS Setting] is set to [ON], positioning is performed at regular intervals. When the
positioning is successful, location name information and latitude/longitude are acquired.
For details on the screen display for the acquired information, read “About the display of
positioning status and positioning results” on P116.
If GPS automatic time correction is set in the time settings at the time of purchase,
[GPS Setting] will be set to [ON] automatically.
Select [GPS Setting] on the [GPS/Sensor] menu, and then press
[MENU/SET].
Press 3/4 to select the settings and then press [MENU/SET].
Note
When [GPS Setting] is set to [ON], the GPS function will operate even when the power is
turned off. Electromagnetic waves from this unit may affect other electronic devices, so
set [GPS Setting] to [OFF] or [Airplane Mode] to [ON] and turn the unit off when you
carry this unit onboard an airplane or inside a hospital, etc.
Acquiring of the GPS information
Settings Description of settings

Set the unit to receive the GPS satellite radio waves.
Positioning continues even when the power is turned off.
[OFF]
[INFO]
You can confirm and update the current reception status.
For detail, refer to Update the GPS information on P118.
Exit the menu after it is set.
•GPS status indicator is lit during the positioning.
Also, when the
GPS status indicator is lit with the
power turned off, [GPS Setting] is set to [ON].
