Taking Pictures with Aperture-priority AE
When aperture value is set, the shutter speed
is set automatically according to the subject
brightness. Changing the aperture value
changes the depth of field of the picture.
Manipulating this value can change the
sharpness of the background of your picture.
[Preparation]
• Set the operational mode dial. (P25)

Set the REC mode dial to P/A/S.

Press the [MENU] button.

Press 3/4 to select [AE MODE]

Press 2/1 to set to [A]

Press the [MENU] button

• The menu will disappear.

Press 2/1
to
set the aperture value.

Take a picture.
• The recording method is the same as in
“Taking Pictures (AUTO Mode)”. (P29)
• The available setting range of the aperture value is from F2.0 to F8.0.
• The aperture value can change according to zoom position.
• It is not possible to select ISO sensitivity [AUTO].
• If the aperture value is not properly set, the color of the F and the shutter speed values on
the LCD monitor becomes red.
