4.0 OPERATION
The MPT9500 operates in one of three modes: Coaxitron
®
Standard (15-bit proto-
col), Coaxitron
®
Extended (32-bit protocol) and RS-485. Which mode is usable de-
pends upon receiver configuration; however, upon power up or reset the transmitter
will wake up in the default Coaxitron
®
“extended commands” mode. The keyboard
display will indicate “EXT CXTRN” when in this mode.

Normal pan/tilt and lens functions will operate by pressing the appropriately labeled
buttons on the keypad. In general, operation and control functions of receivers are
actuated by the grouped keys on the left side of the keyboard while programming
functions utilize the grouped keys on the right side of the keyboard. Refer to Figure
6 and Figure 7 for keypad layout and keyboard control descriptions respectively
