Taking Pictures
You can choose settings appropriate for taking pictures of dark scenes,
such as nightscapes.

Press the four-way controller (3) in A mode.
The Capture Mode Palette appears.
Pixel Track SR is not available under the following conditions:
-in p (Frame Composite), F (Digital Panorama) or o (Half-length
Portrait) mode
- while taking pictures in Continuous Shooting mode
- while recording a movie
- while using the self-timer
- when Sensitivity is set to 1600 or higher
- when the flash strobes
When the Pixel Track SR activates, the shake reduction goes in process
before the Instant Review of the image is displayed. Therefore it will
require few seconds to display the Instant Review.
Taking Pictures of Dark Scenes (Night Scene/
Night Scene Portrait/Digital SR/Sunset Mode)

Night Scene
For night time images. Use of a tripod or other
support is suggested.

Night Scene Portrait
For images of people at night. Use of a tripod
or other support is advised.

Digital SR Higher sensitivity reduces camera shake blur.

Sunset For images of sunsets and warm lighting.
