FEATURES OF THE smc PENTAX-DA LENS
• The smc PENTAX-DA lens is an interchangeable lens specifically designed for digital
cameras. Its image circle is specialized for the image sensor (23.5 x 15.7mm) and its
optical system is optimized for the characteristics of digital images.
• When autofocusing is finished, it is possible to make fine adjustments by hand using the
“Quick-Shift Focus System” (see page 18 for details).
• Lenses that have “SDM” in their name are equipped with a supersonic motor. When
mounted on a camera that supports supersonic motors, the autofocus is quiet and
smooth.
• The following lenses are dust and water resistant because each part is individually
sealed. This makes it difficult for dust and water to enter inside the lens.
