Messages
The following messages may be displayed on the LCD monitor during
camera operation.
Compression error Compression of the image you captured has failed.Change
the recorded pixels or quality level, and take a picture again.
Memory card full The SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard memory is full and
no more images or sound can be saved.Insert a new SD
Memory Card / MultiMediaCard or delete unwanted images
or sound.(p.16, 77)
You may be able to save the image by changing the quality
level or recorded pixels.(p.40, 41)
Data being recorded The image/voice recording is being recorded on the SD
Memory Card / MultiMediaCard.
Image folder could not
be created
The maximum file number has been used, and no more
images or sound can be saved.Insert a new SD Memory
Card / MultiMediaCard or format the card.(p.16, 90)
No image & sound There are no images or sound saved in the SD Memory
Card / MultiMediaCard that can be played back.
Camera cannot display
this image
You are trying to play back an image not supported by this
camera.You may be able to display this on a PC or another
brand of camera.
Image protected This is displayed when you try to delete a protected image.
Setting being recorded The image/sound protect settings or DPOF settings are
being changed.
Settings not stored The SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard is full, and no more
DPOF settings can be made.Delete any unwanted images
or sound and try to make the settings again.
Alarm was set This is displayed when the alarm is set and the camera is
about to be automatically turned off.
Deleting An images or sound on the SD Memory Card /
MultiMediaCard is being deleted.
Battery depleted The battery is exhausted.Replace the battery.(p.12)
Memory card error Shooting and playback are impossible due to a problem
with the SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard.Try displaying
it on a PC.
Card not formatted The SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard you have inserted
is unformatted or has been formatted on a PC or other
device and is not compatible with the camera.(p.90)
Formatting The SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard is being formatted.
No card in camera An SD Memory Card / MultiMediaCard has not been
inserted into the camera.(p.16)
Card locked The SD Memory Card is write protected. (p.18)
