Taking Pictures
On the z setting, press the four-way controller (23) to enlarge the
central portion of the screen to full screen on the LCD monitor.
Adjust the focus with the four-way controller while watching the image on
the monitor.
For distant focus
For closer focus
Once the focus is set, press any button other than the four-way controller
(23), or take your finger off of the four-way controller for about 2
seconds. The camera will switch to the standard Capture screen.
The focus mode default setting is the Autofocus mode.
In Movie Picture mode (1p.63), only the fixed focus is available.
If you use the flash in Macro mode, the image may be overexposed or
a dark area may appear at the bottom right of the picture.
If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder when the focus
mode is set to Macro mode, the range of the resulting picture will differ
from what was seen in the viewfinder. Be sure to check the image on the
LCD monitor.
Manual Focus
When focusing, hold down the four-way controller (23) to focus
quickly.
Enlarged display is not available near maximum magnification in
digital zoom.
