Taking Pictures
B
This camera has a waterproof capability equivalent to JIS Class 8
protection (IPX8) and can be used to take pictures at a depth of 1.5 m
continuously for 30 minutes.
Use the Underwater mode to take underwater pictures that capture the
blueness of the sea.
1 Press the four-way controller (3) in A mode.
The Capture Mode Palette appears.
2 Use the four-way controller (2345) to select B
(Underwater).
3 Press the 4 button.
The Underwater mode is selected and the camera returns to capture
status.
4 Press the shutter release button halfway.
The focus frame turns green if the subject is in focus.
5 Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
Taking Underwater Pictures (Underwater Mode)
Before taking pictures underwater, make sure that there is no dirt
or sand on the waterproof packing of the battery/card cover and
check that the cover is securely locked. (1p.23)
Before opening the battery/card cover after using the camera
underwater, make sure that there is no water, dirt or sand on the
battery/card cover or anywhere on the camera. Wipe the camera
before opening the cover.
