Formatting a Memory Card from a PC
When formatting a memory card from a Windows 2000 or XP-based PC, format the card
under the "FAT" files system. When formatting a memory card, connect the camera to your
PC with the USB cable. (See p. 82)
3. Select [FAT] file format type and click the [Start] button.

Setting up the Date type
You can set up the date type.
Selecting Date Format
1. In any mode other than Voice Recording mode, press
the MENU button.
2. Press the LEFT/ RIGHT button and select the [SETUP]
menu tab.
3. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select [D.TYPE], and
then press the RIGHT button.
4. Use the UP and DOWN buttons to select the desired
date format, and then press the OK button. The
following date formats are available:
[year/month/day]/[ month/day/year]/[day/month/year]
5. Press the menu button twice and the menu will disappear.
