Care and Maintenance
Maintenance of the Sinar m camera only requires simple cleaning work:
•
You can use a cleaning cloth lightly soaked (not dripping!) with Sinar
Agent Blue, ethanol or a mild soap solution. The two first mentioned
agents are also part of the Sinar Cleaning Kit 551.33.090, which can
be ordered separately.
•
Under no circumstances use solvents (like acetone) or abrasive
agents for cleaning.
•
Make sure that no wetting reaches the shutter blades during the clean-
ing procedure or during outdoor use of the Sinarm camera.
•
Take special care not to touch, handle or press the shutter blades in-
advertently. That can deform the blades or hinder their movement char-
acteristics, which could result in the reduction of their operating relia-
bility.
•
Whenever you are not using the Sinarm camera, we recommend that
you always store it with the protective covers in place.

Notes Regarding Sinar CaptureShop™ 4.x
Please note that if you work with Sinar CaptureShop™ version 4.x, the
interaction between Sinar m and Sinar CaptureShop™ is limited in some
situations.
•
For example, the live video can only be switched on and off at the
Sinarm.
•
The exposure time chosen on the Sinarm has to be as long as or
shorter than the exposure time chosen on the Sinar CaptureShop™.
•
When using an LC shutter and/or a CMV lens, the option “Power Save”
MUST NOT be activated.
As of Sinar CaptureShop™ version 5.x the Sinarm and the capture soft-
ware communicate together on all levels.
