The AF frame indicates the area of the composition on which the
camera focuses. You can set the AF frame in the following ways.
Switching between Focusing Modes
Face
Detect
You can have the camera automatically detect the
position of a face and use this data to set the focus
and exposure* while shooting.
* Only in evaluative metering mode (p. 108).
(No frame) AiAF
The camera detects the subject and highlights the
AF frames, from 9 available points, that it will use to
determine the focus.
Center
The camera focuses using the center AF frame.
This is convenient for making sure the focus is
exactly where you want it. You can change the size
of the AF frame (p. 99).

Select [AF Frame].

2. In the [ ] menu, use the or
button to select [AF Frame].
