You can
set the
film
speed
in
two ways: automatic
setting
with DX film and manual
setting.

Automatic
Setting >
Turn
the exposure compensation
dial
while lifting
it up so
that
the
"DX"
marking in
the
film
speed
window
comes
opposite the
film
speed
index,
then lock it with
a click.
lf
you
use DX-coded
film
(lSO
25-5000),
the camera will
automatically
set
its
film
speed.
The DX
marking
and
film
speed are
printed
on the film
box.

Automatically
set
film
speeds are
not
displayed
on the
camera.
.
lf non-DX-coded
film is
used
in
the automatic
setting
mode,
its film
soeed
will
be set to ISO 100.
< Manual
Setting>
lf
you
use
non-DX-coded
film,
or
if
you
want
to shoot
with
a film
speed that is
different from that
of the film
you
are
using, use
the
manual
setting mode. Turn
the
exposure
compensation
dial while lifting
it up, and
set
it
at
your
desired
speed.
In
this
mode,
the camera
is
set
to
the
manual
speed even if
you
use DX-coded film.
Film
speeds can be set in
a
range
of
ISO
6-6400
in
1/3-steo
increments.
