A Notes
• If the frame number reaches 999-9999, the shutter
release will be disabled (pg. 116).
• Selecting s RESET (pg. 94) resets b FRAME
NO. to CONTINUOUS but does not reset frame
numbering.
• Frame numbers for pictures taken with other
cameras may differ.

AUTO POWER OFF
Choose the length of time before the camera
turns off automatically when no operations
are performed. Shorter times increase battery
life; if OFF is selected, the camera must be
turned off manually. Note that regardless of the
option selected, the camera will not turn off
automatically when connected to a printer (pg.
54) or computer (pg. 59) or when a slide show is
in progress (pg. 82).
B Tip: Reactivating the Camera
To reactivate the camera after it has turned off
automatically, use the n button or press the D
button for about a second (pg. 11).
