Setting Silent Mode
Set Silent mode by pressing and holding DISP/BACK.
Use this mode for taking pictures in places where making
an operation or shutter sound is restricted.
Operation sound, shutter sound, voice memo playback
sound, and the self-timer lamp are disabled.
MEMO
• Press and hold DISP/BACK again to release Silent
mode.
• Release Silent mode to adjust sound volume.
• When the use of flash is restricted, press the flash down
to change the camera to Suppressed flash mode
(➝p.67).
• Silent mode cannot be set while playing back movies or
voice memos.
