Instant Zoom
Instant Zoom allows you to decide how
to frame a picture while seeing the
area around your subject on the
screen. Instant Zoom is also quicker to
zoom than optical zoom (➝p.71).

Used for shots in dark locations or for
backlit subjects, etc. (➝p.66).

Used to take a series of continuous
shots or to use auto bracketing (with
exposure compensation) (➝p.68).

Used for changing the image

Pressing this button allows you to
focus on people’s faces. Also, red-eye
effect, caused by the light of the flash
reflecting off the inside of the eye, can
be corrected before an image is
