Setting the menu (p.63)
Erasing the images
( ERASE)
Use this mode to erase unnecessary images to have
ample free space on the xD-Picture Card or internal
memory. Your camera calls images “frames”.
MEMO
When using an xD-Picture Card, the images in the xD-
Picture Card are erased. When not using an xD-
Picture Card, the images in the internal memory are
erased.
Protected frames (files) cannot be erased. Unprotect
the frames (files) before erasing them (p.70).
If “DPOF SPECIFIED. ERASE OK?” or “DPOF
SPECIFIED. ERASE ALL OK?” appears, press MENU/
OK again to erase the frames (files).
CAUTION
Erased frames (files) cannot be recovered. Back up
important frames (files) onto your PC or another media.
MEMO
To erase another frame (file), repeat above steps.
When erasing frames (files) is completed, press DISP/
BACK.
CAUTION
Pressing MENU/OK repeatedly erases consecutive
frames (files). Take care not to erase a frame (file) by
mistake.
Erasing one frame at a time (FRAME)
APress p or q to select the erasing frame
(file).
BPress MENU/OK to erase the currently
displayed frame (file).
