When R ON/V ON is selected for Intelligent Face Detection (pg. 18), red-eye removal (
V) is avail-
able in AUTO (q), ll ash (r), and slow sync (W) modes. Red-eye removal minimizes “red-eye”
caused when light from the ash is re ected from the subject’s retinas as shown in the illustration
at right.
