13. Ext trigger
The external trigger function is used with a frame grabber to obtain an image of an
object at a desired exposure time. Settings can provide images at various timings.
The exposure time can be controlled by the external trigger pulse width.
1) Trigger mode : Selects external trigger mode
࡮
Mode 1: Use for exposure time less than 2 fields.
࡮
Mode 2: Use for exposure time greater than 2 fields.
Note: Longer integration time tends to show increased noise and flaws in the CCD.
2) Delay time : Time from end of trigger pulse to camera sync reset
Setting range is 2 to 20 H. Can be used with a strobe light source to provide an
optimum image with a frame grabber.
3) Trig polarity : Selects positive or negative trigger pulse polarity.
4) WE polarity : Selects WE pulse polarity
Selects pulse (WE) output synchronized to image obtained from the camera rear panel
multi connector for 1 field or 1 frame. Use to match the interface of an external
frame grabber or other equipment.
The trigger and CCD mode timing can be combined to obtain image timing as indicated
in
the figures.
