Manual Recording
About manual recording mode
This mode enables you to set the focus and
screen brightness manually. You need to switch
to this mode because auto recording mode,
which adjusts these settings automatically, is
selected by default.
To change to manual recording mode
Preparation:
Set the power switch to .
Select the file type (video or still image) using
the MODE switch.
Press twice.
The indicator appears.
To return to the auto recording mode
Press the AUTO button so that the indicator
appears.

The camera’s Full Range AF system offers
continuous focusing ability from close-up to
infinity. However, the correct focus may not be
obtained, depending on the shooting condition.
In this case, use the manual focus mode.
After performing “To change to manual
recording mode” (pg. 24)
To cancel manual focus
Press 49 so that the indicator
disappears.
The shutter speed is automatically adjusted
from 1/2 to 1/30 seconds. It enables recording
with low light levels in dim locations.
After performing “To change to manual
recording mode” (pg. 24)
The indicator appears.
To cancel nightalive
Press (NIGHT) so that the indicator
disappears.

If you want to set the focus, press 49
after selecting the correct focus.

It is recommended to use the tripod (pg. 16)
when recording with a slow shutter speed.
