Computer/connectivity problems
You cannot take a
picture
■ Turn the camera off, then on again.
■ Depress the shutter button all the way (page 7).
■ Insert a charged battery (page 2).
■ Wait until the ready light is green before attempting to
take another picture.
■ Transfer pictures to the computer (page 42), delete
pictures from the camera (page 30), switch image storage
locations (page 23), or insert a card with available
memory (page 6).
■ If the camera is in Favorites mode, turn the Mode dial to a
different mode.
If... Try one or more of the following
The computer does
not communicate with
the camera
■ Turn on the camera.
■ Insert a charged battery (page 2).
■ Make sure the USB cable is securely connected on the
camera and the computer port (page 42).
■ Make sure the EasyShare software is installed (page 35).
NOTE: This camera is not supported by Mac OS 8.6 or 9.x. You may
capture pictures on a card, then use a card reader to transfer
them to the computer.
Slide Show does not
run on an external
video device
■ Adjust the camera Video Out setting (NTSC or PAL,
page 25).
■ Make sure the external device settings are correct (see the
device’s user’s guide).
