Picture is too dark.
■ Turn on the flash (see page 9).
■ Move so there is no more than 25.6 ft (7.8 m) in wide angle and
14.4 ft (4.4 m) in telephoto between the camera and the subject.
■ Use Fill flash (see page 9) or change your position so light is not
behind the subject.
■ Increase Exposure Compensation (see page 37).
Camera does not
recognize
SD/SDHC card.
■ Purchase a certified SD/SDHC card.
■ Format the card in the camera (see page 34).
Caution: Formatting a card deletes all pictures and videos,
including protected files.
■ Insert a card into the slot, then push to seat (see page 3).
Camera freezes up
when a card is
inserted or
removed.
■ Turn the camera off, then back on. Make sure the camera is turned off
before inserting or removing a card.
■ Try another SD/SDHC card.
Memory card full.
■ Insert a new card (see page 3), transfer pictures to the computer (see
page 43), or delete pictures (see page 17).
Memory card and
internal memory
full.
■ Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 43), then format the card
or internal memory (see page 34).
