Using Menus
Calculate Distance
Calculate the linear distance from the current position to the shooting location
of the image or between the shooting locations of two images.
1 Use the multi selector HI to
select the desired option for
calculating the distance, and press
the k button.
When Position nowimage is selected,
the camera starts calculating the current
position. Proceed to step 3.
2 Use JK to select the image that is
the start point, and press the k
button.
To adjust the scale of the map, use the
zoom control (f (h)/g (i)).
3 Press JK to select the image that
is the end point.
Each time an image is selected, the
distance is displayed on the screen.
To end distance calculation, press the k
button.
B Notes About Distance Calculation
If the location data is not recorded on the image, the distance cannot be
calculated.
In order to calculate the distance using Position nowimage, the current
position must have been successfully calculated (A132).
