Flash shooting range
The reference distance values are shown below.
With ISO100 film speed
(wide-angle) setting: approx. 0.75 to 4.1 m
(telephoto) setting: approx. 0.8 to 2 m
With ISO400 film speed
(wide-angle) setting: approx. 0.75 to 8.2 m
(telephoto) setting: approx. 0.8 to 4 m
The shutter may be released even while the flash unit is pressed
down, but the flash will not fire. Do NOT touch the flash unit.
Lighting/blinking of the orange LED
The orange LED blinks slowly while the flash is being charged, and lights
up when the flash is ready to fire. It blinks quickly when you press down
on the flash unit.
aThe orange LED lights up:
Flash charging is completed. The flash is
ready to fire.
aThe orange LED blinks slowly:
The flash is being charged. The shutter cannot
be released until the LED lights up. Once take
your finger away from the Shutter Release
button, and lightly press the button again. If
the orange LED lights up, release the shutter.
aThe orange LED blinks quickly:
The popped-up flash unit is being pressed down. The flash will not
fire when you release the shutter, even if in Flash mode.
