Shooting in Scene Mode

Use when taking pictures of food. See “Taking Pictures in Food
Mode” (A 41) for details.
AF area mode is set to Manual (A 100). Press the k
button to choose the focus area in which focus is acquired.

Use indoors where flash photography is prohibited (for
example, in museums and art galleries) or in other settings in
which you do not want to use the flash.
Camera focuses on subject in the center of the frame.
BSS (best shot selector) can be used to shoot (A 97).
Motion detection (A120) is not activated.

m Fireworks show
Slow shutter speeds are used to capture the expanding burst
of light from a firework.
Camera focuses at infinity. The focus indicator (A6) always
glows green when the shutter-release button is pressed
halfway. Note, however, that objects in the foreground may
not always be in focus.
Motion detection (A120) is not activated.
