Protecting Files
(File Protection)
Precious files recorded on the Memory Card can be
locked to prevent accidental erasure.
1 Play back the file to be locked or pause it.

2 Press the [MENU] Button.
≥The editing menu screen appears.
3 Press the UP/DOWN side of the
Multi-function Button until [Lock/Unlock]
is displayed.
4 Press the LEFT/RIGHT side of the
Multi-function Button to select [Lock].
5 Press the [1 SET] Button.
≥The selected file is locked and the [ ]
Indication is attached to the selected files.
ª To Release the File Protection
Select [Unlock] in Step 4 above.
≥The [ ] Indication disappears.
ª To Lock All Files
1 Set the Power/Mode Switch to [PLAY] and
set to the desired operation mode.
2 Press the [MENU] Button.
3 Select [Card editing] and press the
[1 SET] Button.
4 Select [Lock/Unlock] and press the
[1 SET] Button.
≥A verification message appears.
5 Select [Lock] and press the [1 SET]
Button.
≥To unlock all files, select [Unlock] and press the
[1 SET] Button.
