Taking Pictures
4 Press the shutter release button halfway.
When you select =/q/r/\, you can press the shutter release
button halfway before starting to record to focus.
5 Press the shutter release button fully.
Recording starts.
6 Press the shutter release button fully.
Recording stops.
If you keep the shutter release button pressed for more than one second,
recording will continue as long as you keep the button pressed. Shooting
stops when you take your finger off the shutter release button.
Record movies up to 2 GB consecutively.
For built-in memory or SD Memory Cards smaller than 2 GB,
remaining recording time appears on the recording screen. For SD
Memory Cards larger than 4 GB, the remaining recording time with
2 GB as the maximum appears on the recording screen.
In the setting screen for the “Movie” menu (p.101, p.103, p.104),
the remaining recording time for the SD Memory Card is
displayed. However, the actual maximum recording time is
equivalent to 2 GB.
The flash will not discharge in d mode.
You can use the optical zoom and digital zoom before starting to
record, and the digital zoom while recording.
Changing the LCD monitor display mode by pressing the 4/
W button while recording a movie will not display the
histogram.
Movies are recorded in AVI format.
