Taking Pictures

This mode lets you take movies. Sound can be recorded at the same
time.
1 Set the mode dial to C.
The following information appears on the
LCD monitor.

Flash Off icon
2 Movie mode icon
3 Card/Built-in memory
4 Recordable time
2 Press the shutter release button.
Recording starts. The flash status lamp
flashes during recording.
You can change the captured area by pressing the Zoom/w/x button.
x : enlarges the subject.
w: enlarges the area captured by the camera.
3 Press the shutter release button.
Recording stops and the flash status lamp goes off.
Taking Movies (Movie Mode)
• The flash will not discharge in Movie mode.
• Continuous shooting is not possible in Movie mode.
• The LCD monitor cannot be turned off in Movie mode.
• The focus is fixed while recording in Movie mode.
• You cannot use the optical zoom while recording in Movie mode. You
should compose the picture on the LCD monitor when you use the
digital zoom function.
