Setting the Digital Zoom
You can select among three different zoom
ranges: 1–16ן (optical zoom), 16–64ן (digital
zoom) or 64–400ן (digital zoom). The digital
zoom allows you to record powerful close-up
pictures with the same operation as normal
zooming.
Notes:
• The digital zoom is in addition to the optical
zoom giving a combined maximum zoom range
of 1–400ן.
• As the image is enlarged digitally, the picture
quality decreases when higher digital zoom
settings are used.
• The digital zoom cannot be used with the
Digital Quick Zoom or the STRETCH or SLIM
EFF. picture effects.
1 In Recording Standby mode, press the
MENU button until
(MENU 1)
appears.
2 Press the ĭ or İ button (Q) to select
“DGTL ZOOM”, then press the SET
button (B) (W) to select “64” or
“400”.
3 Press the DISPLAY button to turn off the
menu screen.
