Troubleshooting
You cannot delete all images at one time.
• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the “Memory Stick Duo” if there is one (p. 116).
You cannot format the “Memory Stick Duo.”
• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the “Memory Stick Duo” if there is one (p. 116).
The data file name is not indicated correctly.
• Only the file name is displayed, unless the directory structure conforms to the universal
standard.
• The file is damaged.
• The file format is not supported by your camcorder (p. 116).
The data file name flashes.
• The file is damaged.
• The file format is not supported by your camcorder (p. 116).
Refer also to “Adjusting the image during recording” (p. 99).
Pressing START/STOP or PHOTO does not record images.
• The playback screen is displayed. Set the POWER switch to (Movie) or (Still)
(p. 37, 38).
• Your camcorder is recording the scene you have just shot on the hard disk. You cannot make
new recording during this period (p. 38).
• The hard disk of the camcorder is full. Delete unnecessary images (p. 55). Or perform
[ FORMAT] (p. 66).
• Total number of movie scenes or still images exceeds the recordable capacity of your camcorder
(p. 19). Delete unnecessary images (p. 55).
• While activating [DROP SENSOR] (p. 80), you may not record movies/still images.
You cannot record a still image.
• The playback screen is displayed. Set your camcorder to recording standby (p. 38).
• You can capture up to 3 still images only during movie recording.
• Release the lock on the write-protect tab of the “Memory Stick Duo” if there is one (p. 116).
• The “Memory Stick Duo” has run out of space. Use a new “Memory Stick Duo” or format the
“Memory Stick Duo” (p. 66). Or delete the unnecessary images (p. 56).
• You cannot record a still image together with:

[D.EFFECT]
[PICT.EFFECT]
