Advanced use
Wireless LAN Settings
SSID (Service Set Identification)
Example “WLANNETWORK”. Defines a local network id for this wireless region. It must be the same for all end
points and the access point. An endpoint will find the access point if the SSID is correct, however if the
encryption key is faulty it will not transmit any data.
Community (optional)
Community can be used when connecting to an access point where the SSID is the same. Example “Unit2”.
WLAN Mode
AdHoc: Used when not communicating with an access point.
Managed: Used when communication is made through an access point.
Restart
Make sure the corresponding settings are programmed into the access point. Press “Restart” in order to activate
the settings.
