The lens cover is not fully open. Turn the camcorder off, then on again.
- The lens cover did not open fully. Turn the camcorder off, then on again. If this does not solve
the problem, consult a Canon Service Center.
This memory card contains scenes. Delete all scenes to use relay recording.
- Save your movies (0 122) if necessary, and delete all the movies from the memory card
(0 52).
This photo cannot be displayed
- You may not be able to display photos taken with other devices or image files created or
edited on a computer and then transferred to a memory card connected to the computer.
This B photo could not be deleted
- Protected photos (B) cannot be deleted. Remove the protection (0 109).
This scene was recorded using another device and cannot be added to the playlist.
- Scenes recorded using another device and then transferred to a memory card connected to a
computer cannot be added to the playlist.
To record video on this memory card, it is recommended to use only the XP+/SP/LP recording
modes
- Movies may not be recorded correctly on this memory card if the recording mode is set to
MXP or FXP mode (0 55).
To use this function change the camcorder's mode from 5 to y
- You pressed a button that cannot be used in mode. Set the mode switch to y to set
the camcorder to flexible recording mode.
Too many photos. Disconnect the USB cable.
- Disconnect the USB cable. Try using a memory card reader or decrease the number of photos
on the memory card to fewer than 2,500 photos (printers, Windows computers), or 1,000
photos (Macintosh computers).
- If a dialog box appeared on the computer screen, close it. Disconnect the USB cable, and
restore the connection after a short while.
b Total play time is too long
- The playlist cannot be converted when its total playback time exceeds 2 hours and 30 min-
utes. Reduce the number of scenes in the playlist.
Unable to recognize the data
- You transferred to a memory card connected to the computer video files that were recorded
with another device using a different television system (NTSC). Play back the recordings with
the device originally used to record them.
Unable to recover data
- Could not recover a corrupted file. Save your recordings (0 122) and initialize the memory
using the [Complete Initialization] option (0 36).
