62 5. Useful Shooting Functions
aSelect a button from the movie
editing panel using the S or T arrow
on the omni selector, then press the
SET button.
(Cut Beginning):Deletes frames in the first
half of the movie
(Cut End): Deletes in the second half of
the movie
(Play): Plays back the temporarily
edited movie
(Save): Saves the movie
(Exit): Cancels movie editing and
reverts to the screen in step
zMovies with an original length of 1 second or
more can be edited in 1-frame units.

bSelect the range you wish to delete
using the W or X arrow.
cSelect using the S or T arrow
and press the SET button.
The temporarily edited movie will start playing.
zThe movie will stop if you press the SET button
while it is playing.
dSelect using the S or T arrow
and press the SET button.

When is selected, the edited movie is not saved
and the camera reverts to the screen in Step
.
eSelect [Overwrite] or [New File] using
the W or X arrow and press the SET
button.
[Overwrite]:Saves the edited movie under the
same file name as the original movie.
The original data is deleted.
[New File]:
Saves the edited movie under a new file
name. The original data is not deleted.
zWhen there is not enough space left on the CF
card, only the overwrite function is available. If
this happens, S appears on the counter of the
movie editing bar.
