Taking Pictures
Previewing a Picture
Preview photos on the LCD screen before pressing the Shutter button.
1 Turn the Mode dial to Auto or Manual mode.
2 Press POWER to turn on the camera.
3 The LED indicator next to the viewfinder flashes green.
4 The image automatically appears on the LCD screen together with informa-
tion about current camera settings.
Setting the LCD Display Mode
Use the DISP Button to toggle the LCD mode. The LCD mode changes each time the
button is pressed as follows:
1 Press DISP once to turn the on-screen information display (OSD) off.
2 In Auto, Manual, Video and Audio Modes, press DISP once to turn the OSD
off, twice to turn the LCD off, and once again to turn the LCD and OSD on.
3 Press DISP again to turn the image-only OSD on.
Note:
• To save the battery power, you may turn off the LCD display.
• In the Playback ( ) Mode, only OSD Mode and Image Only Mode are
available.
OSD Mode: the image and on-screen infor-
mation OSD are shown on the LCD screen
Image Only Mode: the OSD information
does not appear on the LCD screen
