Note:
The total number of photos varies according to the resolution, quality, amount of memory left on the memory
card and the shooting conditions.
Taking Photos
You can compose and take photos while viewing the subject on the LCD monitor.
1. Turn the Mode dial to or .
2. Center the subject in the middle of the focus frame of the LCD monitor.
3. Press the shutter button halfway. The frame turns green and the focus is set.
(If the camera is unable to lock focus, the focus frame will turn red.)
4. Press the shutter button fully. The photo is taken.
Note:
The shutter sound can be heard when you press the shutter button. This sound can be changed or
deleted from the Sound menu. See “Making Additional Settings” on page 38 for details.
When the quick view setting is on, the photo remains displayed on the LCD monitor for about three
seconds after you take a photo.
Pressing the shutter button or a zoom button while Quick View is displayed will cancel Quick View
and the camera will be ready to take a photo.
If the camera automatically shuts off, press the POWER button to turn on the camera again.
