Possible messages in the dialogue line
If the "Remaining time" is negative (–) and highlighted in red,
then a cassette of insufficient playing time has been loaded,
or the sum of all TIMER recordings is too large.
If the message "Record period" appears instead of
"Remaining playing time," then...
... no cassette is loaded;
... the cassette is protected against new recording and will be
automatically ejected.
... the playing time of the cassette was not recognized.
If a red line with the message "Record Timer Overlap" appears
(the corresponding TIMER positions are highlighted in red),
then the recording times of the TIMER positions overlap.
In this case, change the data of one TIMER position by
pressing the
“
(green) button and selecting the timer
position with the
W
or
Q
button.
Select the data to be changed with the
E
or
R
button,
enter the new data, and confirm the data lines step by step
with the
O
button.
When you are still in the "Record Programming" mode, the
message "Record beginning soon" will appear ten minutes
before the beginning of the recording.
If the message "Record start time has passed" appears, then
you must immediately exit the record programming mode so
that the recorder can start recording.
In order to do so, press the
©
(TIMER) button.
Modifying individual data items of a TIMER posi-
tion
Select the "Info" menu by pressing the
ø
button.
Select the "Record Programming" menu by pressing the num-
bered button

Select the respective TIMER position by pressing the

Select the data item to be modified by pressing the

Clearing TIMER positions
Select the "Info" menu by pressing the

button.
Select the "Record Programming" menu by pressing the num-

Select the TIMER position to be cleared with the

button and clear it by pressing the

button.
The TIMER position is cleared and can be programmed again.
Interrupting the record stand-by mode of the
recorder
If you have programmed TIMER positions but wish to use the
recorder while it is in record stand-by mode, then:
press the
>
button on the recorder, the cassette is automa-
tically ejected,
or
press the
©
(TIMER) button.
The TIMER data disappears from the display of the recorder
and the TIMER display flashes.
Now select the desired function.
Reactivating the record stand-by mode of the
recorder
Insert a cassette with sufficient playing time, wait until the
tape measurement is completed, and then press the
©
(TIMER) button.
The remaining playing time will appear briefly in the display
of the recorder.
The recorder is once again in the record stand-by mode and
the TIMER recordings will be made at the programmed times.
The record stand-by mode of the recorder is now inter-
rupted.

1. Starting programming

The recorder is ready for data entries.
Programme position (TV station) 1 is
displayed, BBC I in the example.
You can "overwrite" the selected data as
long as this entry position is flashing.
If all of the TIMER positions are occu-
pied,
»TIMER FULL«
will appear briefly
in the display.
If the recorder does not accept the
data, e.g. stop time is equal to the
start time, the first entry position of
the data to be corrected flashes
again.

You cannot programme recordings in the long-play mode or
programme broadcasts from the satellite receiver.
2. Selecting a programme
