Battery life is short Make sure the correct battery type is installed (see page 51).
Insert new/charged batteries (see page 3).
See Extending battery life, page 54.
Adjust LCD Brightness (see page 36).
Turn off the Eye-Fi feature when not in use (see page 41).
Cannot find the
desired picture/video
To view pictures stored on a memory card, see page 22.
You cannot take a
picture
Turn the camera off, then on again.
Depress the Shutter button all the way (see page 10).
Insert new/charged batteries in the correct orientation (see
page 3).
Memory is full. Transfer pictures to the computer (see page 38),
delete pictures (see page 23), or insert another card.
Memory card not
recognized or camera
freezes with card
Remove and reinsert the card (see page 4).
IMPORTANT:
Insert a card until it clicks.
Card may be corrupted. Format the card in the camera (see
page 37).
Use another memory card. Only SD or SDHC Cards are supported.
The camera gets wet
inside
Do not turn on the camera.
Wipe off water or debris within 1 hour of submersion in water. If
the camera was used in chemically treated water or saltwater,
rinse it in fresh water, then dry with a soft towel.
Remove the batteries and card.
Open all doors on camera.
Allow camera to dry for at least 24 hours.
In the future, keep doors watertight (see page 5).
No sound when
reviewing video
Sound captured in a video can only be heard when the video is played on a
computer or when the camera is connected to a TV (
see page 28
).
