Picture Is Too Dark
Cause Solution
The flash is not on. Turn on the flash as described in
the “Setting the Flash” section of
Chapter 2.
The subject was too far
away for the flash to have
an effect.
Move so there is no more than nine
feet between you and the subject.
The exposure is not
appropriate for the lighting.
Adjust the exposure as described in
“Setting the Exposure” in Chapter 2.
The subject was in front of
a bright light.
Change your position so the light is
not behind the subject.
