Using the Manual Mode Menu (Cont’d)
Taking Pictures in Aperture Mode
- In this mode, the camera automatically sets the shutter speed after you
select the aperture setting.
-Focus value differs with zoom magnifications and can be switched to 2
levels according to magnification.

1. Select “APERTURE”.
2. When you press the SET/DISP. button,
the current aperture setting appears on
the LCD monitor and you can then set
the aperture to the desired setting.
Use the ̄ button to set the aperture
and then take the picture.
•You can also use the ̇ or ̈ buttons to
set the exposure compensation.
Each time you press the ̆ button, the functions of the ̄, ̇ and ̈ buttons change.
When the aperture setting is displayed in white, the aperture and exposure settings
can be specified. However, by pressing the ̆ button, the functions of the ̄, ̇ and ̈
buttons can be changed to White Balance (̄), Macro mode (̇) and Flash mode (̈)
respectively.
As with Program mode (p.76), AE lock and AF lock (p.77) can be used to take pictures
in Aperture mode.
