Place the lens unit in the
standard lens position
• If the lens unit is not in the
standard position, the flash will
not fire and will blink in
the LCD monitor.
While looking at the LCD
monitor, adjust the zoom
lever to frame the image.
• Move the lever toward W to zoom
out (shorter focal length). Move
the lever toward T to zoom in
(longer focal length).
. Changing the focal length changes the minimum focus distance.
Be sure your subject is beyond the minimum focus distance before
pressing the shutter-release button.

Frame the image in the
LCD monitor, then press
the shutter-release button.
• The image is displayed on the
monitor and stored on the image
memory card at the same time.
• If nothing happens when the
shutter-release button is pressed
and appears on the monitor, the
flash is being recharged. Wait until
disappears.
WAIT appears on the monitor
while the image is being written to
the card.
Turn the camera off when
you are finished
recording.
While WAIT appears on the
screen:
- Do not unplug the AC-Adapter.
- Do not open the card/battery
chamber.
