Refer to these pages to determine the cause of a problem you are
experiencing with your camera. If the information does not cover the
problem which you are experiencing or the condition continues,
contact your nearest Minolta Service Facility.
• The camera is turned off.
- Press the main switch to turn the camera on.
• The batteries are exhausted.
- Replace all the batteries with new ones.
• There is no image memory card in the camera.
- Turn the camera off, then insert an image memory card (page 29).
• The image memory card is full.
-There are several options to reclaim space:
• Delete unwanted images.
• Transfer images to a floppy disk or PC hard drive (refer to the
enclosed software manual) then Clear or Format the card.
• Clear or Format the card.
• Use a new image memory card.
• The image memory card is write-protected.
-Remove the write-protect sticker from the image memory card.
See the instructions included with the image memory card.
• There is no image memory card in the camera.
-Turn the camera off, then insert an image memory card (page 29).
• The LCD brightness has been set to minimum.
- Adjust the brightness (page 22).
The image on the LCD is dark.
The shutter will not release.
No image appears in the LCD monitor.
• The lens unit is not in the standard position.
- Put the lens in the standard position so the flash will fire (page 27).
• Recharging is not finished.
- Wait until recharging is finished ( stops blinking on the monitor).
• The camera is in Flash Cancel mode.
- Select Auto-flash or Manual Fill Flash by pressing the flash mode
button (page 34).
The flash does not fire.
