5 Optimize exposure for the overlay by
pressing the multi selector up or down to
select the gain for image 1 from between
0.1 and 2.0.
The default value is 1.0; selecting 0.5 cuts gain in half,
while selecting 2.0 doubles gain. The effects of gain
are visible in the Preview column.
6 Press the multi selector left or right to
highlight Image 2.
Press Q to display a photograph selection dialog
again.
Repeat steps 3–5 to select the second photograph
and adjust gain.
7 Press the multi selector left or right to
highlight the Preview column.
When Overlay is selected and Q is pressed, a
preview of the overlay image will be displayed.
Proceed to step 8.
When Save is selected and Q is pressed, the
overlay image will be saved without a preview having been displayed.
8 Check the preview image and press Q.
The overlay image will be saved and the monitor
display will exit to full-frame playback.
C Image Overlay
Only RAW photographs created with the D60 can be selected for image overlay. Other images are
not displayed on the selection screen.
The overlay has the same photo info (including date of recording, metering, shutter speed,
aperture, exposure mode, exposure compensation, focal length, and image orientation) and values
for white balance and optimize image as the photograph selected for Image 1.
