P: Programmed Auto Exposure Mode
The camera's microcomputer automatically selects a combination
of shutter speed and aperture. This mode
is
recommended for most
common shooting situations
as
well as for users who are new to
35mm
SLR
photography, and for those situations when there
is
no
time to fine tune exposure settings.
S:
Shutter-Priority Auto Exposure Mode
You
set the shutter speed manually using the command dial. The
camera automatically selects the proper aperture to match the
manually selected shutter speed for correct exposure.
A:
Aperture-Priority Auto Exposure Mode
The camera automatically selects the correct shutter speed
to
match the aperture you have set.
We
recommend this mode when
depth-of-field
is
a prime consideration.
M:
Manual Exposure Mode
Both shutter speed and aperture can be set manually to achieve
the desired effect. Adjust aperture and/or shutter speed referring to
the over/correct/under exposure indicators.
