Adjusting
white
balance
. CAUTION
In the following situations, auto white balance mode (A) will
not function.
Taking pictures where the illumination
at
the camera and the
subject differs, such
as
taking pictures of
an
outdoor subject from
inside a room, or shooting a spot-lighted subject
on
a stage.
Taking pictures
in
mixed light sources.
For
example, taking
pictures at a party with fluorescent lights, incandescent lights, etc.
Taking pictures
in
special light sources.
For
example, sodium
lamps
or
other special lighting sources .

Color temperature
The color temperature of most illumination sources varies
in
tones
ranging from reddish to bluish. These colors are subject to change
depending
on
individual perception. In order to represent the col
or
of light objectively,
we
use a color temperature scale expressed
in
absolute temperature (0
K)
.
As
shown below, the lower the color
temperature, the more reddish the light becomes, and the higher
the color temperature the more bluish it becomes.
