You can select the sensitivity. The higher the ISO, the faster the shutter
speed that can be used and the lower the amount of light required.
Open the lens barrier and
press the Menu button several
times to display the screen
shown.
Select the sensitivity using
the +/– buttons, then press the
OK button to save the setting.
• If the Menu button is pressed
while the setting is being
entered, it will be canceled and
the next setting menu will
appear.
• ISO appears on the control
panel when a setting other
than auto is selected.

Note:
• The sensitivity scale is based on the one used for picture film, but the
numbers are for reference only.
• When AUTO is selected, the ISO is automatically set high in low-light
situations when the flash is not used, to prevent blurring from camera
movement.
• Pictures will appear grainy when the ISO is high.
• The setting will remain if HOLD is selected in Setting Reset, but will be
canceled when the batteries are taken out. (p. 70)
