Taking motion pictures

[REC QUALITY]
When recording motion picture, use a card rated with an SD speed class
of ‘Class 6’ or higher.
SD speed class refers to a specification for sustained write speeds.

[QVGA] is fixed when recording to built-in memory.
Depending on the motion picture recording environment, static electricity or
electromagnetic waves may cause the screen to go black momentarily or noise to be
recorded.
Before recording motion pictures, make sure the battery is adequately charged, or use
an AC adaptor (optional).
When recording motion pictures using an AC adaptor, if you unplug the AC adaptor or a
power outage occurs, power to the camera is cut, and the motion picture in progress is
no longer recorded.
If you attempt to play motion pictures recorded with the camera on other devices,
playback may not be possible, or the picture or sound quality may be poor.
Additionally, incorrect recording information may be indicated.
Motion pictures recorded with the camera cannot be played on Panasonic LUMIX digital
cameras sold before July 2008. (However, motion pictures recorded with LUMIX digital
cameras sold before this date can be played on this camera.)

[TRAVEL DATE] (Record travel date and destination)
Record information as to what day and where pictures were taken by setting departure
dates and destinations.
Set-up: • Clock must be set in advance (12).
Press [MENU/SET] [SETUP] menu Select [TRAVEL DATE]
The number of days elapsed is displayed for approx. 5 sec. when switching from Playback
to Recording Mode or when power is turned on. ( displayed at bottom-right of screen)
When destination is set in [WORLD TIME] (52), days elapsed are calculated based on
local destination time.
If settings are made before departure date, number of days to departure are displayed
in orange with a minus sign (but not recorded).
When [TRAVEL DATE] is displayed in white with a minus sign, the [HOME] date is one
day in advance of the [DESTINATION] date (this is recorded).
To print travel date or destination Use [TEXT STAMP], or print using supplied CD-
ROM ‘PHOTOfunSTUDIO’.
[TRAVEL SETUP] can be recorded during motion picture recording, but [LOCATION] cannot.

Press ▲▼◄► to set the return
date, and then press [MENU/SET]
To continue without setting the return
date, press [MENU/SET] without
entering anything.
Select [LOCATION]

Clearing the information
After the return date, the information
is automatically cleared. To clear the
information before this date, select [OFF]
