Taking Pictures
1 Pressing ) button in Capture mode will switch
Focus modes, and the current setting is displayed on
the LCD monitor.
The camera is ready to take a picture in the set Focus mode.
On the z setting, press the four-way controller (23) to enlarge the
central portion of the screen to full screen on the LCD monitor.
Adjust the focus with the four-way controller (23) while watching the
image on the monitor. A bar that indicates the focus position is displayed
on the left side of the monitor.
For distant focus
For closer focus
Once the focus is set, press any button other than the four-way controller
(23), or take your finger off of the four-way controller for about 2
seconds. The camera will switch to the standard Capture screen.
In Moving Picture mode (1p.62), only the Fixed focus is available.
If you use the flash in Macro mode, the image may be overexposed.
If you take a picture while looking through the viewfinder when the Focus
mode is set to Macro mode, the range of the resulting picture will differ
from what was seen in the viewfinder. Be sure to check the image on the
LCD monitor.
Manual Focus
When focusing, hold down the four-way controller (23) to focus
quickly.
