Very occasionally, static electricity may cause malfunction of the
camera. In this case, remove the battery and install it again. If the
camera works properly, the camera is in its normal condition and you can
continue to use it.
Subject is not in
focus
Subject difficult to focus
on
The camera may have difficulty in
focusing on such subjects as; subject with
low contrast (a white wall. blue sky, etc.),
dark subject, finely patterned object,
rapidly moving object, when taking picture
through a window or a net. Try shooting
using the focus lock (p.30) or Manual
Focus (p.83).
Subject is not in focusing
area
Locate the desired subject in the focus
frame J (focusing area) in the center of
the LCD monitor. If it is difficult to do so,
first lock the focus on the desired subject
(focus lock), and then move the camera to
recompose. (p.30)
Subject is too close Set focus mode on q (Macro) or
r (Super Macro). (p.82)
