Common Operations
Turning the Camera On and Off

Press the power switch.
The power indicator lights up in green. The lens extends and the
camera turns on in the “Capture mode”. The camera is ready for taking
pictures by pressing the shutter release button.
You can switch to other modes by pressing the
Q
Playback button.
• Press the Q Playback button once to switch to the “Playback
mode” . (The lens is not retracted.)
• Press and hold the Q Playback button for 2 seconds to switch to
the “Playback mode” . (The lens is retracted.)
• Press and hold the Q Playback button for more than 4 seconds to
show the images stored in the built-in memory with the SD memory
card installed.
2 Press the power switch again.
The camera turns off with the lens retracted.
Turning the Camera On in Capture Mode
If you press and hold the power switch for a while, the camera will
be turned off.
