Taking Still Pictures
1 Set the mode dial to d.
2 Press the four-way controller (3).
The Picture mode options screen appears.
3 Use the four-way controller
(2345) to choose a Picture
mode.
4 Press the OK button.
The Picture mode is selected.
5 Press the shutter release button
halfway.
The focus frame turns green if the subject is
in focus.
6 Press the shutter release button fully.
The picture is taken.
The shutter speed is slower when taking pictures of dark scenes. To
prevent camera shake, secure the camera on a tripod or other surface.
In Picture mode, the saturation, contrast, sharpness and white
balance are automatically set to the optimal settings for each
mode. You cannot change the settings.
Total recording time will be longer when the picture is taken at a
slower shutter speed, because the noise reduction function
activates to reduce noise.
